Preschool & Head Start

The Lowell all-day classroom is a Oshki-Inwewin Bi-Cultural classroom. This class meets 7:30am-2:15pm.

Every classroom has an Licensed Early Childhood Teacher that provide instruction from the following resources:

• Creative Curriculum
• Second Step: social and emotional learning
• Pyramid Model: a positive behavioral intervention and a support framework that promotes social, emotional, and behavioral development

Spending time outside in all types of weather has many benefits to children! All preschool classrooms have access to nature play areas and outdoor gear. Children enjoy fun activities such as snow shoeing, hiking, fort building, and many other great experiences!  

• Strong Bodies: We strive to spend at least one hour outside daily. We work to ensure families have access to healthcare and balanced meals offering health and nutrition services. 
• Strong Minds: We implement an inquiry-based curriculum that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and communication in a play-based environment led by licensed teachers.
• Strong Families: We provide advocacy, support, and education to parents and caregivers. We partner with families to celebrate the strengths and reach for goals.

• Full and half-day options
• A focus on health and nutrition
• Services for children with disabilities
• Assistance accessing community resources

Bus transportation is available to children who are 4 years old by September 1st of the enrolling year, are attending their home school, and are within transportation boundaries. 

• Full Day Classes- transportation available to and from school
• AM Classes- transportation available to school
• PM Classes- transportation is not available

Mid-day bussing is not available.

Tuition is determined through the verification process and once income has been provided. Head Start eligible families do not pay tuition. School Readiness and VPK families pay tuition based on our sliding scale fees.
